On this week’s episode of Solitary v4.0, we joined the pod people in the middle of the ape suit treatment. The remaining contestants, minus #6 because he won the chance to be excluded, were still enduring the treatment.
They were wearing their ape suits, running laps, doing “ground slaps”, performing “symbol crashes” and eating many bananas. The treatment ended for #3 & #9 when they vomited. Finally, Val ended the treatment.
Next, the pods were walled off into a tiny cell, complete with bars and the rest of the pod. They were given a meal to eat…bananas. LOL! Only #6 could manage to eat them, since he had been spared the last treatment. He said he felt bad for the others for having to eat them in the treatment.
Val gave them a chance to write letters home. #7 said that she didn’t want anyone she knows to ever watch the show because she was ashamed of her performance. How sad. She was doing great!
The next challenge for the pod-dwellers was to figure out how to break out of their tiny prison. There were five heavy chains with padlocks and a door lock they would have to unlock in order to escape. The first to accomplish the escape would win immunity from the next treatment.
They were given an array of keys all over the floor, a paper bag with unknown contents that they would have to snag and pull into their cell, five hanging keys on the opposite side of the pod and some uniform clothing on hangers across the room.
They were only given a long string with a magnet on the end with which to retrieve five hanging keys and the uniforms. #6 was the first to assume that the keys on the floor were just decoys. His experience really paid off.
Then, when they retrieved the paper bag, they found it filled with only cookies.
#6 was the first to unlock the padlocks and find the hidden key in the uniform pants to unlock the door. He would be excluded from the next treatment.
The next challenge for the pod people was to fold hundreds of pieces of paper into paper airplanes and fly them across the room, through a small opening. The person with the most successful flights would win two bottles of beer and a huge bowl of peanuts. #6 won the challenge. He said that he wished he could share the reward with his fellow Solitarians.
Val relayed the message to the others. #2 asked if he would share his peanuts, but Val relayed the message using the word “penis” instead. He denied the request, of course! Then #2 asked him to share his nuts and he denied that too, for the same reason. LOL!

Val then gave the competitors large pieces of colored paper and some other items and asked them to design their own line of clothing and model it. It was pretty hilarious!! They were all very creative!
Val rewarded them with a tasty meal. #6 announced that he was a man’s man, but he’ll wear a dress for food. 
Next came the nauseating treatment. Everyone except #6 would have to participate. They would have to putt a golf ball under par through a small opening in the pod. If they failed to do it, they would have to don a football helmet and sit on a seat and spin around and around for the designated number of times. Then, they would do the next putting round. It looked brutal!
The rounds got progressively more difficult and #9 was the first to vomit, then hit the red button to quit the challenge. She was eliminated.
The remaining three competitors kept on with the treatment, but we’ll have to wait for next week to find out how long they kept going.
