Rupert is not only one of the warmest, friendliest former Survivors I’ve met so far, but he also has a heart of gold. He heads a non-profit organization that helps at-risk young people. His organization also helps young people coming out of incarceration to get acclimated and ready to live a positive life on the outside. He’s the winner of $1 million as the fan favorite.

Sugar is one of the few cast members this season who have only been a part of one season of Survivor so far. But she was certainly a memorable castaway during her season. She kept getting sent to the “Sugar Shack” where she found the Immunity Idol early, then spent her time relaxing and eating fruit. I wonder if she’ll be so lucky this season.

Stephenie is another of my all-time favorite Survivors. I was really looking forward to talking to her at the last Survivor charity event I attended, but she had to cancel her attendance at the last minute. She proved herself to be tough as nails during her first season of the show and finished as a runner up the second time out. She could be a real contender this season.

I have met Tom at a Survivor charity event and he brought his kids with him to the event. He’s a very warm, friendly, approachable person and I liked him a lot. He was an almost perfect player during his season, catching a shark bare-handed! He too may have a target on his back since he’s a former winner.

The first thing I think about when Candice is mentioned is that my friend Billy Garcia thought she had professed her love to him during the Cook Islands season. She hadn’t, but if she had known him better, she might have. He’s a great guy. It will be fun to see her in action again this season.
Villains:
This season, the Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains logo has three new words that describe the game. Instead of the usual Outwit, Outlast, Outplay the logo has these words for us: Return, Revenge, Redemption. And here are the Villains that will make these words come to life.

OK, you know him and you either love him or you hate him. I’m among the people who don’t like Russell at all. My friend Betsy thinks he’s great. That’s how people are about him. When Betsy talked to him at the Survivor: Samoa after party, she told him that to her, he’s the “Sole Survivor.” He thanked her, but laughed and told her that he wouldn’t be giving her the $100,000. At least he has a sense of humor.

Rob is one of the most seen Survivor veteran ever, aside from his wife Amber. When I think of Coach, I think of the time he said he had been kidnapped in South America by cannibals or pygmies or something…the story seems to mutate. When I’ve seen Courtney at various Survivor events, she’s been nearly inseparable from Todd & Frosti from the China season. The three of them together are really funny and fun-loving. It’s a very different thing to see her in person and to watch her connive on Survivor. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us.
