Mindfreak – Season 3 Production to Begin
Nov 2nd, 2006 by Lynn DeVries

How many of you out there are crazy about Criss Angel, Mindfreak? I know I am! His shows never cease to amaze and thrill me.

If you’ve never checked out his show, you owe it to yourself to do so.

Criss Angel: Mindfreak is on A&E Network and features Criss Angel, one of the most extraordinary magicians you’ve ever seen. He breaks all the rules and you won’t be able to tell how he does it.

And if you’re a superfan like me, you’ll want to make it to Las Vegas to see Criss Angel while he’s creating the third season of his groundbreaking show. They begin production on November 6, 2006 at the Luxor and you can find the details here.

The third season of Mindfreak will air in the Spring of 2007.

Series Premiere – Celebrity Paranormal Project
Oct 24th, 2006 by Lynn DeVries

Ok, let’s first realize that it is the perfect season to premiere a show like this. What other time of the year are so many people interested in the paranormal than Halloween?

Sunday’s VH1  Celebrity Paranormal Project series premier had 5 celebrities searching and performing experiments in an old sanitarium where it’s reported that over 63,000 people died of tuberculosis. The first episode involved Gary Busey, Hal Sparks, Survivor winner Jenna Morasca, Toccara from America’s Next Top Model, and Baywatch original Donna d’Errico taking turns exploring, using their own camera and monitoring equipment to hopefully find evidence of paranormal activity.

As you can probably guess, there were some tense moments, some scared celebrities and a lot of footage shot with night-vision cameras. If you are a fan of all things ghostly or paranormal, this is a show to watch. If you are hoping for something that will prove the existence of ghosts, I’d stick with the Travel Channel’s British show Most Haunted, or even the SciFi Channel’s show Ghost Hunters.

But I have to say, the concept is interesting. And better yet, the celebrities who started the show claiming to be unafraid of almost anything, started to scream like little girls once in the hallways of the hospital. It’s good entertainment.

And my favorite part of the first episode was Hal Spark’s statement at the end that the show proved the most frightening thing in the sanitarium was Gary Busey. :-)
