People's Choice Awards Nominees Announced
Reality Remix Really Awards 2006
Oct 28th, 2006 by Lynn DeVries

Today the long awaited and long overdue Really Awards show aired on Fox Reality TV.

Kennedy was our “hostess with the mostest” jokes and jabs. As always, Kennedy was in true sarcastic form. She’s one of the only people on TV that can make fun of reality stars and make them all love it. ;-)

First to present were the Chill Town duo from Big Brother. Dr. Will Kirby (winner of Big Brother 2) and his buddy, Mike “Boogie” Malin (winner of Big Brother All Stars), Presented the award for “Favorite Fight.” Before presenting, they did their pretend phone shtick, revealing that they both have done a lot of live appearances, Dr. Will has been on The Young and the Restless, and Mike Boogie has opened two new restaurants and has charged Reality Remix $35,000 to hold the Really Awards at one of them. (then, the usual fake laughter…you know the drill.)

The nominations  for Favorite Fight were:

  • Johnny Fairplay vs Victoria & Jonathan on Fear Factor Reality Stars
  • Howie vs Marcellas on Big Brother All Stars
  • Janice Dickinson vs Omarosa on Surreal Life
  • Danny Bonaduce vs Dr. Gary Corgiatt on Breaking Bonaduce
  • Pumpkin vs New York on Flavor of Love

The winners for Favorite Fight were Pumpkin & New York.

Next to present was Omarosa from the Surreal Life to present the award for “Favorite Pottymouth”. She started off by calling Janice Dickinson “the oldest model on the Earth.”

The nominations were:

  • Adrianne Curry from My Fair Brady
  • Jeff Conaway on Celebrity Fit Club
  • Danny Bonaduce on Breaking Bonaduce
  • Janice Dickinson on the Surreal Life

The winner of Favorite Pottymouth was Janice Dickinson from Surreal Life. Omarosa said that she couldn’t accept the award because she was in rehab. (OUCH!! LOW BLOW!!)

The “Most Memorable Reality Performer” award was to be presented by Kennedy. She announced that she would eliminate the stars with the fewest votes first. The nominees were:

  • Mike Boogie from Big Brother
  • B.J. & Tyler from the Amazing Race
  • Omarosa from The Apprentice & Surreal Life
  • Johnny Fairplay from Survivor
  • Janice Dickinson from Surreal Life, The Janice Dickinson Agency and America’s Next Top Model
  • Evan Marriott from Joe Millionaire
  • Toni Ferrari from Love Cruise & Paradise Hotel
  • Dr. Will Kirby from Big Brother
  • Beth Stolarczyk from The Real World and The Gauntlet 2
  • Flavor Flav from Flavor of Love & Surreal Life

The first person eliminated from the competition for Most Memorable Reality Performer was Beth Stolarczyk from The Real World and The Gauntlet 2.

New York announced that she just wrapped her own show called I Love New York where 20 guys come live with her to compete for her love. I personally will be too busy to watch, whenever that show airs….she’s so obnoxious.

The award for “Favorite Tears” was presented by Alexis Arquette from the Surreal Life and Ant, host of Celebrity Fit Club. The nominees were:

  • Andrae Gonzalo from Project Runway
  • Storm Large from Rock Star: Supernova
  • The Godlewski Sisters from the Amazing Race Family Edition
  • Moana Dixon from The Bachelor Paris
  • Jonathan Antin from Blowout
  • Adrianne Curry from My Fair Brady

And the perfect person to be the winner of the Favorite Tears award was Andrae Gonzalo from Project Runway. (Now, where IS his chiffon…?)

We got to see Ty Taylor from Rock Star: INXS perform. What a treat! That man sure can sing!

The next presenters were Jai Rodriguez from Queer Eye and Toni Ferrari from Paradise Hotel. They presented the huge martini glass award for the “Best Showmance.” The nominees were:

  • Kristy Swanson & Lloyd Eisler from Skating With Celebrities
  • Mike “Boogie” & Erika Landin from Big Brother All Stars
  • (I love this one!) Mike “Boogie” & Dr. Will Kirby from Big Brother All Stars

And the “Realitini” for Best Showmance went to Mike Boogie and Dr. Will from Big Brother. (Oh, brother!)

Dr. Will corrected them all by saying, “For the last time, it’s a BRO-mance.”

Whatever.

The next person eliminated from the “Most Memorable Reality Performer” was Evan Marriott from Joe Millionaire.

The next presenters were Storm Large from Rock Star: Supernova and Ace Young from American Idol. They presented the award for “Favorite Winner.” The nominees were:

  • Aras Baskauskas from Survivor: Exile Island
  • B.J. Averell & Tyler MacNiven from the Amazing Race
  • Josh Blue from Last Comic Standing

  • Taylor Hicks from American Idol

The winners of the award for Favorite Winner were B.J. and Tyler for their win on the Amazing Race. I’m so glad. I thought they were great!!

Ace Young performed his new single. He says that it’s available on iTunes. (And it sounds pretty wonderful!)

Next Alex Ali & Lynn Warren from The Amazing Race presented the Realitini for “Best Hottie.” The nominees were:

  • Katherine McPhee from American Idol
  • Storm Large from Rock Star: Supernova
  • J.P. Calderon from Survivor: Cook Islands
  • Janelle Pierzina from Big Brother All Stars
  • Erika Landin from Big Brother All Stars

The winner for the Best Hottie was Katherine McPhee who accepted via video.

Then, Janice Dickinson was eliminated from the competition for the Most Memorable Reality Performer. Go figure, she’s everywhere. ;-)

The next presenters were Ty Treadway from American Idol Extra and Carrie Ann Inaba from Dancing With the Stars. They presented the award for “Favorite Villain.” The nominees were:

  • New York from Flavor of Love
  • Santino Rice from Project Runway (He’s my favorite)
  • Omarosa from the Surreal Life
  • Dr. Will Kirby from Big Brother All Stars

And the winner of the Favorite Villain award was the duplicitous Dr. Will Kirby.

The next eliminated nominee for Most Memorable Reality Performer was Mike Boogie, which earned him a surprise kiss on the lips from Johnny Fairplay. I don’t know about you, but I think they deserve each other. ;-)

The presenters for the “Favorite Judge” category were Marcellas Reynolds & Erika Landin from Big Brother All Stars. The nominees were:

  • Miss J. Alexander from America’s Next Top Model
  • Mary Murphy from So You Think You Can Dance
  • Carrie Ann Inaba from Dancing With the Stars
  • Little Richard from Celebrity Duets
  • Simon Cowell from American Idol

And the Favorite Judge is Carrie Ann Inaba from Dancing With the Stars.

B.J. & Tyler from Amazing Race were eliminated next from the Most Memorable category. I was rooting for them. Too bad!

The next presenters, Mary Murphy from So You Think You Can Dance & Alec Musser, winner of I Want to Be a Soap Star, announced the winner of the “Favorite Altered State.” The nominees were:

  • Danny Bonaduce from Breaking Bonaduce
  • Katie Doyle from Fresh Meat
  • Christopher Knight from My Fair Brady

And the winner for Favorite Altered State was Lisa D’Amato from America’s Next Top Model. (And I think she was wasted…)

Toni Ferrari was the next to go from the competition to be Most Memorable Reality Star.

Four of the Carters from House of Carters (Angel, Leslie, Aaron and Bobbie Jean Carter) presented the Realitini for “Favorite Reality Show.” The nominees were:

  • Dancing With the Stars
  • Survivor (Oh! Yeah!)
  • American Idol

Omarosa was eliminated next from the contestants for Most Memorable.

Flavor Flav presented the next award for “Favorite Non-Competition Series. The nominees were:

  • My Fair Brady
  • Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
  • Real World Key West
  • The Surreal Life
  • Laguna Beach

And the Realitini for Favorite Non-Competition Show went to both Real World and Surreal Life, in a tie.

The next eliminated Most Memorable contender was Flavor Flav. Then, Dr. Will lost the final decision to the disgusting jerk, Johnny Fairplay. I guess if you have to say that creepy, lying, jerkiness is the most memorable, it’s true. What a waste! Johnny Fairplay got the Golden Realitini Award for Most Memorable Reality Performer.

Rob & Amber Mariano from both Survivor & The Amazing Race presented the award for “Favorite Competition Show.” They announced that they have a new reality show that will begin airing in January called Rob & Amber: Against the Odds.

The nominees were:

  • American Idol
  • The Amazing Race (Woo-Hoo!)
  • Survivor: Exile Island (I loved this one too!)
  • Project Runway (Oh, no! Three that I love!! – Make it Work!)
  • Flavor of Love
  • Big Brother All Stars

And Big Brother wins the Favorite Reality Competition award.

All in all, I enjoyed the show. Seeing all of the reality stars away from their reality shows was a treat. And watching them interact with each other and large quantities of alcohol was entertaining too. I’d love to hear what you think of the award winners. How would you have voted? Let me know!
